About this program

Intraoral scanning, digital design, milling, and 3D printing can transform a practice, but only when each piece is chosen, connected, and used well. Too many offices own a scanner that only takes impressions, a printer that only makes models, or a mill that sits idle while the payments keep coming.

You'll see what each technology does best, where it fits in your workflow, and how to get more from it. Walk away knowing which investments to make next, and how to get more from the ones you already have.

Learning objectives

  1. Leverage the intraoral scanner beyond impressions, for diagnostics, patient education, monitoring, and case acceptance.
  2. Integrate digital design software into daily workflows, and decide which cases to design in-house and which to send to the lab.
  3. Compare milling and 3D printing by indication, material, cost, and turnaround to choose the right production method for each case.
  4. Measure return on investment using key metrics such as utilization, chair time, lab cost savings, and case acceptance.
