Same Day, Every Day
Optimizing same-day dentistry with in-house fabrication
Module of Program 03
This program is one module of In-House End-to-End Restorative Workflows (8 hours).
See Program 03About this program
Patients love leaving with their final restoration in one visit, and practices love the control that comes with it. Yet many offices that own a mill or printer still send most of their prosthetic work to the lab.
You'll learn which prosthetics you can confidently produce chairside, from single-unit crowns, onlays, and implant restorations to nightguards, splints, and provisionals, along with the scheduling and team roles that keep the day on time.
Learning objectives
- Identify which restorations and appliances can be predictably fabricated in house, and which are still best sent to the lab.
- Select materials and production methods, milled or printed, for same-day crowns, onlays, implant restorations, and appliances.
- Apply finishing techniques, including staining, glazing, and polishing, to deliver esthetic, lab-quality results chairside.
- Design a same-day schedule and team workflow that delivers single-visit care without disrupting the rest of the day.
